AP Smart Pulse Survey

The Andhra Pradesh government on Friday kicked Started a massive household survey that will collect socioeconomic data of 14.8 million households in the state that will be uploaded real-time. About 30,000 enumerators will be involved in the government survey which will take 22 days.

Andhra Pradesh chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is known for the technology-savvy, the government had provided tablet device for each enumerator. Enumerator will collect data and upload details online in real-time. The government had named it as ‘Smart Pulse Survey’.

Enumerators will collect all details of each person Aadhar number, Rented/Own House details, Bank Accounts, Ration card details, Photo graphs of your house, and mobile phone number during the survey. The government says it has only 60% of the information it needs.

“The details of each household will help the government to take up many more developmental programmes and ensure that it reaches the right beneficiaries,” chief minister Naidu said in a press statement on Wednesday, while reviewing preparations for the exercise.

The government expects the survey to solve “many problems on a real-time basis” and increase accountability and transparency. enumerators are allowed to collect socio-economic information on paper and later upload household details onto government servers.
This survey will give two interesting updates to every house.

First, The government is providing Digital Smart Addresses to each citizens of Andhra Pradesh. The government is using Zippr’s digital door numbering platform used to geotag each household in the state and allot them a unique alphanumeric digital code. The household data will be linked to the geotagged location. This code is used in all services like emergency services to reach faster, Power cuts tracking and all services from government.

Second, the survey allows people to update information including change of address to their Aadhaar account.

This survey will help government to help all the citizens in welfare activities.
