Farmers were allotted compensatory plots on the basis of a computer-selected lottery system. The location and details of the plots were texted to farmers, who were invited to come and receive their plot papers. Ten counters were opened at the meeting in Thullur to distribute the papers.
As he always does at such occasions, the chief minister said the farmers who gave their land to make Amaravati are heroes. 847 farmers of the village got 1,916 plots residential and commercial. Within three months more plot development work including geo-positioning would be taken up to enable the farmers to start construction work. Farmers are happy with the allotment process. Even CRDA will also complete the plot allotment to other villages.
